    There are numerous gambling dens in the commonwealth, the biggest number being on moored scows. The largest of the Iowa gambling dens is the Meswaki Bingo Casino Hotel, a Native American gambling hall in Tama, with 127,669 sq.ft. of gaming room, 1,500 slot machines, 30 table games, such as chemin de fer, craps, roulette, and baccarat, and many types of poker; also three restaurants, daily entertainment, and casino lessons. One more large Native American gambling den is the Winna Vegas, with 45,000 sq.ft., 668 slots, and 14 table games. Also, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs never closes, with 38,500 sq.ft., 1,589 one armed bandits, 36 table games, and four eatery’s. There are many other popular Iowa gambling dens, including Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 sq.ft., 1,212 one armed bandits, and 39 table games.

    A smaller Iowa gambling hall is the Diamond Jo, a river based casino in Dubuque, with 17,813 square feet, 776 one armed bandits, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend Riverboat, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 sq.ft., 535 slots, and 14 table games. Another Iowa riverboat casino, The Isle of Capri, is available never closes, with 24,939 square feet, 1,100 slot machines, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 sq.ft. river based gambling den in Clinton, has 506 slots, 14 table games, live productions, and Thursday twenty-one tournaments.

    Iowa casinos provide an excellent amount of tax revenue to the state government of Iowa, which has enabled the bankrolling of many state wide projects. Visitors have gotten bigger at an accelerated rate accompanied with the request for processors and a growth in employment. Iowa casinos have been helpful to the advancement of the market, and the excitement for wagering in Iowa is absolute.
