There is an interesting story to the Cambodia gambling dens that sit just over the dividing line from neighboring Thailand, in which casino wagering is prohibited. Eight casinos are established in a relatively small space in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This conclave of Cambodia casinos is in a perfect area, a three to 4 hour travel from Bangkok and Macao, the 2 most popular gaming centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling halls do a thriving business with Thai workers and travelers from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The phenomenal capital acquired from the gambling dens ranges from 7.5 million dollars to more than 12.5 million dollars, and there are a number of restrictions constraints for gambling den ownership. One more of the 8 gambling dens in Poipet, again in a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 one armed bandits and ninety seven games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of a multinational resort and hotel complex that contains many comforts in addition to the casino, which provides 10,000 sq.ft. of one hundred and thirty slot machines and 88 gaming tables.
